The kindergarten program at St. Joseph Parish uses the Stories of God’s Love curriculum which helps our young brothers and sisters in Christ to understand the parables of Jesus and the doctrine of the Church in ways that make sense to them; through story-telling. Each week a new story is read to the children and they have time to respond to that story in their own way and participate in some activity that gives concrete meaning to the story they heard. There are activity sheets that come home with the children each week in their folders so parents may understand and discuss with them the various concepts introduced at each session. There is also a community gathering time where preschool, kindergarten and first grade students come together to discuss a topic related to what is covered in class and to sing praise to God. The kindergarten program is offered at Disciple House on the Country Church Campus during the 9am and 11am mass on Sundays, and at the Parish Center on the Village Church campus on Tuesdays from 3:45pm-5:15pm and on Wednesdays from 5pm-6:30pm.
