This committee, a sub-committee of the parish Finance Council, stewards the distribution of our Fifth Sunday second collections to various charitable organizations. Membership is limited to names drawn by lot on Pentecost Eve, after a nomination and discernment process.
We support a local organization that “rescues” food, making it available to soup kitchens and food pantries in the area. Future 2017 service dates are Wednesdays 5:30-7:3pm 4/19, 6/21, 10/18, 12/20 2017 and Saturday 2-4pm on 8/19.

Each year hundreds of pounds of fresh produce are harvested from our communal garden and donated to local food pantries. All are invited to the Spring Planning Meeting on 4/18 at 7pm in the Parish Center.
Those who are a part of this ministry knit, crochet or quilt shawls and lap robes which are prayed over and then delivered to who are in times of illness, personal crisis, grief or trauma. Lovingly crafted, each prayer shawl or lap robe is prayed over by two or more ministry members before it is delivered. Prayers are then said with the recipient when the prayer shawl or lap robe is delivered. The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets on the first Saturday of the month at 4:00 pm in the Office of the Country Church.
If you or someone you know is in need of the comfort of a prayer shawl please let us know! To request a shawl or for more information about the Prayer Shawl Ministry, please call Marinell High in the Parish Office at 734-426-8483 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
